The J.C. Booth Scrip Program is back!!!
Scrip is Booth’s “No-Brainer” Fundraiser. We won’t ask you to sell anything. We won’t ask you to buy something you may not want or need. We will ask you to allow Booth to have a revenue stream from purchases you make every day.
Here’s how it works…
Suppose you buy groceries from Kroger and, this month, you will spend $100 at the store. Rather than using cash or credit, you fill out a Scrip Order Form to purchase 4-$25 Kroger Gift Certificates from the PTO and send a check to Booth with your student. A few days later, we send you 4 certificates that you may spend like cash at any Kroger store. You receive the full benefit of your $100.
So, how does J.C. Booth make money under this scenario?
When the Scrip Committee pays Kroger for your gift certificates, Kroger allows us to keep 4% of your $100. Four dollars may not seem like much; however, imagine 100 Booth families purchasing $300 of Kroger certificates each month. That would mean $1,200 profit for the school. And, what if these families also used Scrip when renting movies, dining at restaurants, buying office supplies or shopping at local clothing stores? This program can quickly generate thousands of dollars in profit for Booth.
How
do I begin?
On the last Friday of every month, your child will bring home
a scrip vendor form. Fill out this form and return the form
and payment to your child's homeroom teacher by the first Friday
of the month. We do the rest and deliver to you or your child
the following Friday. Vendors are added each month so check
the form regularly. Don't see a business you frequent? Check
the website at www.glscrip.com
or www.jcbooth.org/scrip.html , they
may be listed. I'd love to add them for you. Call or e-mail
the scrip chairperson with your suggestions or ideas.
Please look at our vendor list. We bet you’ll find several vendors you will visit this week alone. If you haven’t tried Scrip in the past, please…
Let Scrip become a habit with you!
